The Chapter 11 filing in federal bankruptcy court in Wilmington, Delaware, sets in motion what could be one of the biggest, most complex bankruptcies ever seen. Scores of lawyers are seeking settlements on behalf of several thousand men who say they were molested as scouts by scoutmasters or other leaders decades ago but are only now eligible to sue because of recent changes in their states’ statute-of-limitations laws.

sad to see this happen, forcing the scouts to accept gay leaders is putting the wrong fox in the hen house
forcing the Boy Scouts to accept girls and making it a mixed sex horny teenager club environment encourages more sex abuse complaints.
there has to be very little asset other than land for campgrounds
what is the greater good. a boys club that teaches values
or settlements where lawers are the chief benefactor

As an Eagle Scout, this is really heartbreaking for me. I was part of a great organization led by several good men, including my father who volunteered his time. I know everyone makes jokes and all that but the Boy Scouts is a great organization. The leadership had little supervision and allowed any volunteers to be a part. They trusted people to do the right thing and uphold their moral code but in the end, that will be their demise thanks to a small percentage of people who took advantage of these kids as well as the system.
The Boy Scouts is a great organization and it is a shame these perverts will bring it down. Biden Powell is rolling over in his grave right now.

I feel the same way. They were designed to help young boys learn character and become great men.
I knew they were dead when they announced the policy on homosexuality. Once you begin to cater to the world’s demands, you have no clear vision.

I agree. I never made it to Eagle Scout, but I did make a trip to Philmont. It’s one of the most noteworthy things I did as a teenager. It’s a shame it’s become what it has today.
