Damone quote: For Boomers, I can’t find a picture of a selfish piece of shite mortgaging the future of their kids and grandkids so they can have an easy life. Sorry you had shitty parents. Boomer here with no debt, worked hard and children will have a nice inheritance. Children were taught to get an education and find a career. All 3 are successful and won’t need any inheritance. Seems like you should look in the mirror and see the person most responsible for your situation.

Leading your reply post with the name of the poster to whom you are replying is about as boomer as it gets.

EVERY young person I know, who is responsible and works, has a much better standard of living than I had at their age. I’m 59. When my wife and I were 29 we had four children. We went out to eat zero times per week, could not afford to go to the movies, and did not go on a real vacation for 10 years. We also didn’t complain about it. And when our kids asked, “Are we rich”, which kids inevitably do, we always said, “Yes, we’re rich.”...

Amen. My kids have been in the workforce for 10 years. They make more than I do, travel more than I do, and have a standard of living better than all but a tiny percentage on this planet. They do so because they work instead of whine.

My dad had a successful career, and mine has not been so shabby. After 10 years in the workforce, I was not making more than he, but had a comfortable life, maybe not all that I wanted, but certainly more than I needed.

Some whine, others do. The latter profit the most.

The key change that took our family from subsistence farming during the Depression was my dad taking advantage of the GI Bill.

Millennials are getting old. It’s time to update all the memes featuring 20 year olds to reflect that.

I’m a 40 year old millennial.

If you were born in 65-83 then you’re Gen X. Millennials are 84-02. There is a sharp divide in millennials born in the 80s to those born in the 90s and now those born post Y2K.

People who put stock in generations are so dumb

Someone born in 68 has no shared experience as someone born in 81

Same as someone born in 87 and someone born in 2000

Every generation has bad asse, dumbasses, pussies, geniuses etc

Here are some soft millennials

And here are some super tough men from the greatest generation

They really are. The weird hair and beards, the social justice angst, the materialism, the generational hostility.

If we didn't have Boomers and Millenials, it's not like the rest of us would even be here making these threads. The rest of us mostly acknowledge that life just sucks, and that attempts to blame whole groups for it are stupid and creepy.

Gen Z ages right now are 10-25. Born in 1997-2012. Idk what Pew is.

Which encompasses ALL traditional aged college students as well as a few years of traditional aged college graduates. Not just college freshman and high school seniors and juniors.

Burrow was born in late 1996, and thus a last wave millennial.

Burrow is a perfect example of why these generational arguments are so silly. He’s a “late wave” millennial by 3 weeks. His parents got busy in February. If it had been March he’d be a Zoomer.

Ok, yet I said they were starting college and in high school and jr. high which is accurate. Semantics, sure the extreme end are at traditional college graduate age and above. Nothing incorrect on my end.

Classic boomer mentality, can’t craft a viable solution so just beat someone down until they accept the standard of living you’ve made available to them

Classic millennial, blame someone else for your failures.
