Booking a room at a casino - negotiable rates?

Trying to book a few rooms at the Lauberge in LC for a group of 10-12. They're trying to charge like 350 a night on their website. Part of me just wants to call them and ask them to cut that rate in half because we have such a large group and are bringing them money. Has anyone ever tried this and if so, we're you successful?

You have members cards (players cards or whatever)?

Yeah just lose a couple grand and get rooms for free

most hotels will do group rates starting at about 10 rooms. the discount isnt normally 50% but no idea about your casino playing helping that potentially.

Ummm. No.
What you want is the Casino Rate which they extend to customers who have a loyalty card AND a documented history of play. Believe it or not, you can spend hours at the tables and still rank behind serious slot players. They love the slot players. That being said, call the Casino and ask to speak to a Host. IF you can get one on the phone, plead your case and tell him what you have planned for the weekend. Depending on what they have going on those dates he might hook you up.
It's not like it was even 10 years ago. They computerize and database everything for max profits. They don't just give away rooms anymore.
FYI, my next door neighbor was GM of The Horseshoe and my other side neighbor was the F and B manager. I know of what I speak here.

There is what's called a "casino rate". That is a discounted or comp rate dependent on your previous play at the casino. If you have a players card you can go to the booking website and input your number and see your discounted rates if any. If you have little to no play, you may get $20 or $30 off the weekend rate. Free weeknight and steeply discounted rooms for the weekend starts at around 500 or 600 points per day in action. That's about $6000 coin through video poker which is $3000 through slots or roughly $100-$150 per hand at BJ for 4 hours.

Only time I went we were comped, I think my buddy was a regular.
