A person coming at you with a deadly weapon deserves the same response. You don't combat a deadly weapon with mace or a taser. And you damn sure don't let her chase you.
This officer followed his training which protects him physically and for liability. He stray away from that and he opens himself up to be injured or sued personally. The departments will not back you if you go off on your own doing shite

What would happen if the shooter wasn't a cop.
If I unload 5 rounds at a lady approaching me with a knife with it all being on video.

I can only hope for $10.00 hour, when you or one of your close family members is about to get hacked to death with a cleaver, the cop gets out the car and runs, hoping the perp will run out of breath. And someone catches it on video and posts it on here, labeled LetGeauMyEggo Video.

Its a little bit more than that but it doesn't matter if you make 50 an hour. You don't do what you are trained to do and follow guidelines and it can get your arse fired and put others at risk
