The Porsche dealership in Metairie is great for service. When I had my Porsche, they even offered to pick it up from the Northshore and return it for oil changes and minor service since one of their guys lived on the Northsore. Also had a hose issue with the windshield wipers so they sent a guy to my house to fix it. Their service department is by far the best I've dealt with.

Yeah, I've had three seven series and never paid more than $8000 for one.
One never had a S class as the value holds better.
The e38 is my favorite of the 7 series, the v8 on the last generation has a horrible flaw with the water cooked alternator and that stupid water line that you have to pull the engine to change out. Had I not done my own work, repair costs would have exceeded 150% the value of the car.

The worst by far is Maybach.
A nice 30k mile 2009 can be found for $50,000, was $400k new

They are too isolated for the driver IMO, but I like drivers cars. Plus, even the 57 is a car designed for the back seat passengers, not the driver. In reality, it was a lack luster body design draped over an aging S class platform that was such a poor conception that they only sold 3000 in 7 years while for much of that time Rolls Royce sales were booming.

Would a 5 series with 5K miles from dealership that’s been a loaner vehicle be a good deal? They seem to mark a decent amount off MSRP.
