Bluetooth - Music in car streaming problem

Have a 2012 Lincoln. Bluetooth streaming has been working great until the other day.
Weird thing is, my phone is apparently sync’d and I can talk on the Bluetooth feature, but it won’t play music or YouTube, Pandora, etc. When I try to stream it through the source menu (auxiliary setting) like always, it says no Bluetooth device available.
Is this an issue with my phone or Lincoln? Checked on any software updates (iPhone 6 plus), says my software is the latest and greatest.
How do I fix this? My quality of life is suffering. HELP!

Did you turn it off then turn it back on again?

Sounds like you flipped a switch/setting on the Vehicle that puts phone on AUDIO Only meaning phone calls work on the radio but playing videos, music, etc won't stream sound. My 2014 Honda Accord has something similar. Do a factory reset on the radio.

Is that running fords sync technology. My F150 work truck will go haywire sometimes and connect but not do anything. I pull the fuse for the sync system and then crank the truck and let it run for 5 minutes then turn the truck off. Replace the fuse and crank the truck up again and it will typically work fine for awhile before I have to do it again.
ETA: I do have to re-sync my phone to the radio after this because I believe to loses the saved info

Also try forgetting/disconnecting and repairing the phone to radio. Some BT pairing settings will ask if it's for phone or media?

Don’t knock it till you try it. I’ve had a loaded out Honda Accord, Lexus ES , Toyota Seqouia. This Lincoln is my favorite car I’ve ever owned.

You joke, but I'm really digging the look of almost their whole line.

Disconnect it, delete your car from your devices on your phone and then reconnect it.

1. Does the vehicle have Microsoft Sync like other Ford products?
2. Is it the latest version? Its a little tricky to update if you're not comfortable with downloading files to a USB stick and doing the update yourself.
3. Completely delete the phone (sync -> phones -> delete all devices)
4. Add it back again and see if that solves the problem.
5. If you do have Sync, use the voice control on the steering wheel and say 'bluetooth audio' to avoid having to go through all the menus.

update the software. log into the ford sync account in a web browser and it will walk you through the process.
what year ford? have you ever updated sync before?
eta don't forget to run a 'vehicle health report' before doing this so you can get the current status of your truck.
eta2 also the last step is putting the usb stick *back* into the computer you used to update it because your truck will actually write an XML file to the disk once it updates and you need to submit that to Ford so they know what version of Sync your vehicle is running.

Wrong. Audio Only means that phone calls will not transmit to the radio but AUDIO from streaming music will. That is how I have it set up in my boat.

Tried deleting it and adding it back. No bueno.
It always said my iPhone was connected and I could talk on the phone. Just no audio streaming of music, video, etc.

Go into settings, remove your phone from the Bluetooth, usually it asks if you want to forget the device. Then re setup Bluetooth connection, had to do this about two years after I got my unit and it worked perfectly again.
