IMO one of the greatest pieces of media ever produced. I’m on my 5th listen and it honestly gets better every time. Just fascinating stuff. Ghosts of the Osfront is unbelievable too, but too short.

I say the same thing about all of his podcasts.
Quality content, but I just can't listen for three hours straight. I would rather the content be broken up into smaller chapters

That podcast taught me more about WWI than any history class and helped to shape my view of the world. Just a masterpiece. I went to the military museum in Vienna last fall where Franz Ferdinand's car and tunic are and I had Dan's voice ringing in my ears the entire time. The whole exhibit was that much more powerful and mesmerizing because of what I knew after listening.

Where do you find Ghosts of the Osfront? I can't seem to find it.

WW1 was the worst thing to happen to humanity in history imo. It introduced the killing of humans on an industrial scale and they way people were killed was horrific. It also changed the world for the worst, ushering in the 20th century as a century of war and genocide. We are still dealing with fallout from WW1 to this day if you think about it.

It’s history porn. I’m on episode 5 right now. 3 and 4 are insane. The Rasputin and Russian revolution stuff in 5 are so interesting. I bought “Storm of Steel” and “Now it can be told” yesterday on amazon.

This. Vast majority of geopolitical issues can be traced back to WWI.

The series he’s working on now is really really good. Just sucks waiting 6+ months for the next episode to drop.

Wrath of the Khans was also amazing.
