Let's assume each student was taking the standard load of 5 classes this semester.

Assume this is a 3x/week class. Round off the number of sessions to 30 to allow for fall break, exams, etc.

Divide tuition by 30 and you get the cost of that particular session. The protestors should be required to pay back every student in that class for the cost of that class session.

Also, I'd be interested in seeing if they directed the "Why are you in class?" remarks at black students. If so, that was both a violation of their rights and the students were targeted for their race. Which means the protestors should be branded as racists and expelled.

It was like 90% white girls, and the 10% of guys are probably just there to try and crush pussy. Classic. They'll get bored and move on to the next trendy thing soon enough.

Fwiw Obama actually spoke out against hypersensitivity at colleges.

It's in Portland and at Lewis and Clark. The one black student probably fell ill to the flu.

What would happen if one of the students stood up and sprayed the protesters with mace?

I can go weeks without seeing a black person in Oregon City and my commute to Tigard can take me right by Lewis and Clark.

What do your discussion go like...

In my experience you get the closet racist or the extreme SJW type.

Tigard is starting to get infiltrated I've noticed. By more then just blacks.

More and more they develop the NE the more they spread em out.

Every one of these students should face sanction from the university and, if they persist in their disruption of classes, should be subject to arrest. It is fine for students to protest in public spaces, but there is no right to disrupt a class and not face punishment. This disruption should be met with strong action by the administration. Unfortunately, administrators quake with fear at the thought of questioning the actions of these students, so of course there will be no sanctions, but there should be.

One of the things that I remember about the civil rights movement was that those participating in protests fully expected to be arrested and face sanctions, and they were happy to use the arrests and sanctions as a demonstration of the injustice of the laws or policies that they were protesting. If someone wants to create a disruption for the sake of a cause, they should be happy to be subjected to arrest and other sanctions. If their cause is as honorable as the cause of the civil rights movement in the 1950s and 1960s, then their arrest will demonstrate to the world the righteousness of their cause, if it is in fact righteous.

I like to think I am pretty honest. I grew up in Scappoose and West Linn and went to college in Central PA. I don't weigh in on much and don't claim to have a lot of experience.

Probably much like those protesting at Lewis and Clark.

I just moved from the sticks of St. Helens. I imagine in your day Scappoose was nothing but farms. West Linn is a desirable area for sure.

Yeah, I imagine you didn't experience much til PA.

Yeah all of the private schools around portland are spendy, the worst is Reed though, I'm legitimately surprised we haven't seen one of these videos from there yet.
