I've never understood why they've always complained about this. They literally think everything should be at minimum 50% black.
8 out of 32 coaches are black. 25%
Blacks make up 12.5% of the US population according to the US census bureau.
They are actually represented well beyond their makeup of the population.

Many NFL, and college coaches, and assistant coaches are ex-players. I believe about 70% of the players in the league are Black. That's the number they are looking at.
No idea about the thought behind the models.

How convenient
If there is legit racism where owners and organizations are intentionally overlooking candidates solely because they are a minority, then I'd agree with people arguing about this "lack of minority coaches".
But you're not going to tell me, in this day and age, that organizations are intentionally hiring white coaches even though they may be inferior, just because they don't want minority coaches. Not with all this money on the line.
This is why I think the Rooney rule is absolutely laughable and quite frankly insulting to minorities.
