I live in a town that is 80% black and our fried chicken joints, especially Southern Classic, stay packed. We have a couple of soul food places, pork chops and fried chicken are staples. The menu seems like a typical soul food menu around here.

quote:Breaux, do you even African American history. Everybody came from Africa, therefore everything in the world was stolen from Africa and hereby is a product of Africa. That's right, the black person you saw at the grocery store is literally no more or less African than you. This school's lunch menu, that's African. The person who created said lunch menu, he's African. If you're reading this, you're African.

My little boy asked me where African-America was the other day.
We couldn't find it on a map.

As a black man, I'd be disappointed in the menu. I may be willing to eat the chicken, but I don't like spinach unless it's raw. I am very picky these days when it comes to how mac and cheese is made. If it isn't good to me, then I don't want it. I also don't eat cornbread, unless it's cornbread dressing, and I don't eat apple, or peach crisp.
