Same thing happened to my liberal sister in law during Katrina. She and her liberal friends signed up to help hand out free items for the less privileged.

They all got a highly predictable rude awakening about the lack of gratitude and overt expressions of greed when other poors got better free shite than they did.

They realized the privilege of not growing up in such a shitty culture.
