This is not unusual for new tech. It's the nature of the beast. You're not wrong, but neither are those involved in BC speculation.

When the us goverment can't keep artificially surpressing inflation by stimulation packages, goods will inflate, double and triple over night. Crypto may be the currency of choice.

BTC is not an investment. It is a currency. It is probably a currency closer to gold than any other. The price of gold never changes, it is the measuring stick of your currency.

U.S. is one of the worst countries for bitcoin. There is a physical bitcoin but it is illegal in the U.S. Bitcoin has an unchangeable inflation rate. Unfortunately it is a big gamble, no one knows the strings being pulled with it. Like if some ultra rich fellow is just hoarding the vast majority of bitcoins or something, like diamonds.

Hindsight says it was obvious to have purchased $100 of bitcoin way back when, I'm sure everyone regrets not doing so.

it is a pain in the arse until you find the right way to buy them.

i use american express bluebird and paxful the fees are dirt cheap like 10% and it takes about three to five mintues way better than going to the store and using gift cards.

One would think that if bit coin has any value as an investment then it should have value as a currency, otherwise it is just a bubble that is waiting to burst. That said, the value as a currency probably isn't in actual living with it day to day, from what I understand at least.

t's still a tech that's in its infancy, but they have debit cards you can use in the US that act like any other debit card. that applicability is going to expand greatly from here onward

When some guy can sit on his computer and steal the contents of your wallet with a few clicks, I'm going to make a hard pass.

The act of mining for currency should just tell the average user this is an absolute sham. So I hook up 50 computers, overclock their processors conducting calculations and I can make $5-10K a month.

Yeah. I bet. Sounds legitimate.

And that's the financial literacy of its users. No thanks. Go short something else.

I couldn't resist. Had to circle back to this. Please look up AAPL's price, up until the IPhone release, and make your same arguement with a straight face

The f?

People invest in the market for its future potential. Why would one put money into p/g if they thought it was going to bankrupt?

I don't think you understand how this works.

You're the one suggesting that investors do not invest off of potential.

What I am saying, and trust me I can't believe that I'm having to spell this out either, is that nobody was buying AAPL until it was proven that the iPhone was a hit and was in high demand. Meaning it had proven itself. Kinda odd that the stock shot up shortly after the release, right? After years of treading water

"Mining" is using your rigs for the backbone of the bitcoin network. Kinda like what credit card networks do for conventional money.

So I guess you think that MasterCard and Visa making money off of credit card transactions means the U.S. dollar is a sham.
