Waco Twin Peaks releases statement

So according to the folks at Twin Peaks, there was no fight in their place. One more inconsistency in the police version of events.

Some of the reports coming out indicate that anyone wearing a leather vest or having a motorcycle was arrested not just Bandidos/Cossacks/etc.

Yep and they impounded/seized all the bikes and other vehicles that were there.

Martin Lewis, 62, served 32 years with SAPD until his retirement in February 2004. He was charged with engaging in organized criminal activity and still being held on $1 million bond, according to McLennan County jail records.

They don't even know which MC this guy belonged too. LOL

Katie Rhoten told the Associated Press that her husband, Theron, ran for cover and was later arrested, along with antique motorcycle enthusiast friends and other “nonviolent, noncriminal people” at the gathering designed as a meeting of biker groups to discuss issues such as pending safety legislation.

“He's good to his family,” she said. “He doesn't drink; he doesn't do drugs; he doesn't party. He's just got a passion for motorcycles.”

yes If I worked at Twin Peaks and this went down I'm playing dumb as well to avoid retaliation from these thugs. I"m sure they have families to worry about.

"Weapon" is a very broad term. I suspect the police department are counting screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, tire irons, sockets, etc. in their definition of "weapon".

So the cops go from saying 50 weapons to now 1000 weapons. This is getting beyond absurd.

Basically anything that can move is now considered a "Weapon" because we have 170 people arrested and each of them were carrying 5 weapons! Belts, shoes, shirts, etc.

You do realize this is an on going investigation and the crime scene was still be investigated as the initial reports came out right?

Hell, they closed the entire marketplace Monday and Tuesday in order to continue to process the scene. Of course the number of weapons are going to climb after initial reports and before the entire crime scene had been investigated.

Strange the police haven't released how many of these guys were wanted on outstanding warrants or were parole violators. Also haven't heard about any illegal narcotics being found yet either but they have found per Police 100 guns wait 50 weapons wait 1000 weapons now. This is starting to sound like the Keystone cops and I sincerely hope the police department didn't screw up here because this will cast a very negative light on all good law enforcement officials across the country if this becomes a trigger happy copy who started a slaughter because two guys were fist fighting.

LE is searching every vehicle, so I'm sure more firearms will be found. Of course if you searched 100 cars in any parking lot in TX, you'd probably find 50 guns. Churches included!

Maybe he can use some of the settlement money from his false arrest and illegal imprisonment lawsuit to support his charity.

Did they arrest everyone wearing colors at the event? I can understand initially detaining everyone, and then trying to sort out who's who. But if LE has had a bunch of do-gooder MC members locked up for the last three days on RICO charges, I think Waco is going to be sorry. On the other hand, the bikers are probably relieved that they're locked up and not on the coroner's autopsy table.

I really doubt anyone is going to be sorry. LE had more than enough probably cause to make the arrests. After that, the Court's and prosecuting attorneys and LE will sort out who will be charged with what, if anything.
