Just caught up with this thread. Back in 1995 I had a pretty bad wreck at this intersection. I was crossing Burbank going from Circle K side to other side. At the time it was a normal light during the day and late at night it was exactly as it shows on video.
Anyway, coming back from rush party, i get to flashing red, and thought Burbank was flashing red as well. Start to take off, lose traction and am slow crossing street. Truck coming from right has to jam on brakes, but he slides as well. He ends up t-boning me right behind passengers door. About a foot up and my buddy in passenger seat would have been toast.
We spin and end up on the exact spot the video was taken. Only a few bumps and bruises, and two totaled vehicles. How on earth I did not get a DWI still amazes me. Officer even asked me where I had been and I was honest. I guess he felt sorry for me and me car.
I had almost forgot about that wreck until this thread popped up.
