This doesn't matter if the police aren't there already ready to engage, now does it?

Because we all know under your world, and due to Gun Free Zones, no citizen will be armed and able to respond. Only the police. Who are minutes away...when you're counting your seconds.

You're really going to let politicians decide what constitutes "threats". The Democrat party would label all conservatives a "mass shooter threat" if they could.

It's going to be used as a political tool to beat their political enemies as much as they possibly can.

These people beg unaccountable bureaucrats to rule over them and tell them what to do because they're incapable of understanding why people should be able to operate under their own free will.

They want the entire world to be coated in NERF because they deem any risk to be too high.

As a white liberal I find this unconstitutional but at the same time, I’m glad Biden is in. The 4 years of Trump took a massive toll on my mental and physical health. When he became president, (Trump), I cried so much I became dehydrated and went into kidney failure, doctor said he’d never seen that before from someone crying. My parents are both doctors and I live in a gated community but I’m way more in touch with the average American then blue collar Trumpers. So even if we lose a constitutional right with Biden, it was worth it

I assure you there are plenty of GOP voters in more urban/suburban/exurban areas who feel much differently.

Again, I'm not saying there aren't GOP voters that would agree to some of those individually, but im saying I don't buy that those GOP voters are agreeing to those COLLECTIVELY.

You're right. Nothing like that could ever happen in this country.

My question is what can be done to lessen the number of these public mass shootings? Do we just shrug our shoulders and say it is what it is? Go back to the wild west where we should grow accustomed to some vigilante justice?

I just don't comprehend this absolutist view. As I said to Centinel, this all seems very anarchist in nature, this approach of doing absolutely nothing to address an increasingly common danger in our society.

Indifference, which is what you guys apparently support, will not win elections. There have to be ideas. What are proposals you'd be comfortable seeing brought to the table?

Mass shootings are a fart in the wind compared to the hood violence is this country. Why shouldn't we focus on that first?

Address why the mass shootings happen (to include knife attacks, bomb attacks, etc) and address that, not an inanimate object?

But that's hard. Much easier to just ignore the Constitution and ban guns, right bro?
