The elephant is what they use at the DR; I need it about once a year. Gonna buy my own now.

Nothing works better than the ear candles. Make sure you get the hand rolled ones from Mexico. Top quality.

Some people must have more waxy ears than others. I get a little soft waxy gooey film around my ear hole every few days, and a q-tip does the trick. I’ve never had anything I would call a “ball of wax”, and there’s been no worries about shoving it deeper with a q-tip.

ENT

Yes. Twice in my life I have had it build up where it affected my hearing. No amount of drops and bulb flushing with warm water would work.

My internal medicine doc and his staff were reluctant to handle it, and their equipment was not much more than I had at home.

Went to an Ear Nose & Throat guy. His nurse had the equipment (water lines, suction, etc.), skills, and experience to get it done right.

Once, a ball of it was hardened and attached pretty solid in there. Doc himself had to work on it for a bit. I was glad to be with a specialist.

They said it can get worse as you age.

I would go straight to an ENT.
