Got an oyster perpetual Lee Michaels wanted an arm and a leg. Any recommendations?

What needs to be repaired?

Does it just need servicing? Isn't there a Rolex service center in Dallas? Send it there.

I need this too. I can't get the calendar and date set right. The watch was made in 1969 and the original set was supposed to last 45 years. It's well beyond that and needs to be reset.

Roelx service is going to cost you $600 no matter what.

I have a 12 year old Omega automatic that keeps perfect time now, but know it is overdue for servicing. From what I've read on the watch forums, it needs to be sent to the Switzerland factory, costs $400-600 and takes 6 weeks+. Can anybody offer any advice or alternatives?

Don't you mean cheapest?

Price isn't so much a concern as is convenience and risk of losing the watch somewhere in transit. From what I understand, a factory service involves not only involves servicing the internals, but also buffing out any scratches on the watch and bracelet and returning as as-new condition. Is there any place here in the US that can do this?

I had a good experience with Son's. It was for work on a $300 automatic watch though. Don't know about bringing a rolex there. Depending on the repair I think that I would tend to look at dealing directly with rolex.

Broke mentioned him a previous post but didn't mention a website or better credentials. I'm going with the Mark Sirriani guy listed guy above

I would take broke’a recommendation as enough credentials for me. But I’m pretty sure he gave a background on him in a post a few months ago

Mark has serviced an Omega Seamaster and Constellation.
Very happy. Good communications. You can call him or email him too. Turn around time was two weeks.
He's as local as the nearest post office.
