Another word of caution, if you get the oil on your clothes, it may take washing them 4 or 5 times in super hot water to get the oil off your clothes. You could keep re-irritating your skin with contaminated clothes or equipment if the oil remains there.

A few years ago I got a really bad case and used Zantac. The stuff was amazing. It’s an abrasive that supposedly gets deep into the infection. The relief I got was quick.

Used Zanfel. It cut the itching instantly and dried it up too. My skin is raw now because its so abrasive. But im in way better shape than before

Every time I hear about poison ivy I think about a gardener I knew.. He said that he wasn't allergic to poison ivy it just made his prick swell.

It's been a curse for me my entire life. Wherever I may be, I'll find it. Out of many tried, I seem to do best with Ivarest.

I am deathly allergic to it. As a kid I nearly died from it. Thing that worked best for me was a cortisone shot and a cream called valisone. Hard to get a prescription though

Knowing what the hell it looks like and avoiding it. Also, getting it so bad as a kid, growing immune to it.
