East Baton Rouge has some of the best water in the South. The aquifer goes well into MS. Wilkinson and Amite counties. Enjoy it while you can. Meta is about to suck that well dry

Meta isn’t pulling from the Southern Hills aquifer. The majority of the water they’re pulling is from the MRVA aquifer at around 100’. Most of the water being pulled from that aquifer is for agricultural irrigation.

Suntiger’s best tap water rankings.

2) Baton Rouge, La USA
3) Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland
4) North Lake Tahoe, California

Last) New Orleans, La USA

Are you sure about that?

Mine does….the wells are about a mile away from my house.

It most definitely isn't Shreveport. I can't believe how bad it's become. My vote is Savannah, GA.

I live in Harrison County, PC. Water here is terrible, smells & taster like choline.

Filtered water for us.

Yeah, the SHA doesn’t go that far north and west.

BTR’s biggest problem is salt water intrusion. It’s going to be a serious issue soon and no one has any real interest in doing something about it.

Baton Rouge water feels very odd when you shampoo

That’s because the hardness level is low.

I know in Hancock County it is a little different.

I spent the night in a suite at Hollywood in Bay St. Louis one time. It had a jacuzzi bathtub. I filled it up and the water was a nice light brown as though the water had a high concentration of dirt.

It definitely isn’t in NELA that’s for sure. They have some of the worst tap water I’ve ever come across.

I knew that salt water intrusion was going to be an issue. I don't live there anymore. All of my family has moved on except one and they have well water around Jackson, LA
