I don't think BASF operators hate their job due to the unions. But always seem like they have a hard time keeping Supervisors as they are non-union. I was at a Cancer facility long enough to get some good experience and learn how to be a good operator. Jump shipped almost 9 years ago now to Methanex.

You would say that, which of the 4 bathrooms did you choose when you visited?

You left a “cancer facility” and went to methanex? Dude, uncle Rico can throw a ball across Westlake from that plant.

You aren't cut out for plant work.

You're right but not everyone is Uncle Rico. The difference in being within sight of it and working in it is totally different.

I always heard Am Sty was a good plant to work at. Also heard good things about Air Liquide.
The guy who said that every plant is different, and every unit was different was spot on. There is no one size fits all answer to your question.

Good luck with finding one without strict rules.
and for good reason. Manufacturing some bad chemicals is a dangerous job if left to morons.

I need to find more overtime to pay for this new model 3/4 ton and $90,000 bass boat. Where’s the best plant to get on a turnaround?

Hope the Honeywell comment is a sarcastic joke. Horrible place to work.
Real life- Shell Geismar. Methanex. Either way you are going to be working OT a lot. It’s just the Plant Baw life.

Lyon Copolymer in Geismar isn't bad.

Didn’t mean it like that. Just saying some plants work you more than others.
