Completely agree. I lived in NYC when I was doing this. There 2 kinds of 10's for me. The model type, and then the ones that probably the average guy would not be interested in - but looked very attractive to me.
As to the 'model" type, I met many. And, they were almost always the nicest. They usually had the same complaints - most women didn't want anything to do with them. And most men were afraid of being rejected and stayed away from them. most were actually a bit lonely.
I am an OK looking guy, but really nothing special. Many of these model types couldn't care less. One said, "I'm pretty enough for both of us" - she was. Another said, "I meet a lot of guys that spend more time in front of a mirror than I do. And its a turnoff for me". Ever seen a couple where one was great looking and the other looked kinda average? Happens a lot.
Probably the worst part was having to be the jerk that didn't have the time to give to all the really first-class women I was meeting. Honestly, that got to me. Finally I met one that checked off all the boxes, so I settled down and was glad I did. Still have some great memories, though.

Women are completely naive about this subject...at least from the mans perspective.
A single decent looking woman can go sit at a bar and have multiple men come up to her in an hour. A single attractive man could go sit at a bar all night and not have one single woman talk to him.

In the grocery store store you can always fall back on the “ win fast ,lose fast , direct approach.” Tell her that you would rather eat her up than any of the groceries in the place. You have to be prepared to be shot down though.
