I feel like you never lived by crack addicts. They will steal your potted plants for a hit and a half off a glass dick.

Yeah, my in-laws are in S'port (Shreve Island) and my buddy lives in Haughton, but I'm certainly looking for other areas. BAH is pretty high there, but I'd like to pocket as much as possible while I finish up my career, hence the $1300 dollar limit.

It sounds like you can't go wrong for the most part, as long as you're out of S'port (not saying that there aren't nice places in S'port).

Used to live in the broadmoor area. Also went to school at St Joseph's for 10 years. Never saw a single crackhead.

My mortgage in Savannah place was $863.22

1200 sq ft 3/2 with a nice yard. Built it brand new.

I’ve lived here for 10 years and never had a single issue.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

I feel like you are thinking of Highlands.

No uppity Shreveport attitude here

Just see zero reason to live in Bossier

And Broadmoor/SH are closer to Barksbale than north Bossier

Klamath Falls is one of the prettiest places:Mountains (Big, tall ones), lots of rivers and lakes, the Pacific Ocean not that far a drive to the west, and inland deserts to the east if you find yourself missing hot and dry.

Close to the good part of California and even Mount Lassen volcano.

Great gardening, and people who appreciate fresh food and fish.

Friends of mine who went to Oregon for Grad School chose never to return to the eastern US.

Yep. I usually just paid $1k or so each month, but the $863.22 was everything.

Yep, it's basically high desert, totally opposite of Louisiana in every way possible. Very affordable as well. Has hot springs too.
