As others have said, it all depends on your particular location and what channels you want to pick up. Some might be close enough to just use a cheap Walmart antenna to get the channels they need. Others might need to pick up VHF channels so the type/style of antenna they get is completely different. In general, your smaller antennas are made to only pick up UHF channels, which may end up being useless for you if the main channels you want to get are VHF.
I like TV Fool's signal locator because it gives you pretty much all the information you need to determine which antenna you need.

Maybe discussion is the wrong word, but anything AI is based on logic. Its a program that is fed a bunch of information/has access to information and whatever you ask it, it knows how to provide you with the most logical response. It doesn't replace humans. Its a tool.
