Looking for a new watch under $500. Any suggestions?
Leather or metal?
And do you want a simple face or a more complicated face?
Tank or circle?
All of these hings will help us recommend something.

Looks like somebody bought into the marketing. Whenever you see something massively marked down like that ask yourself why they would sell something so valuable so cheap. The answer is that they wouldn't. They're just trying to make you feel like you got a deal.

Between Citizen, Seiko, Hamilton, Tissot (and I would add Christopher Ward) you've got good options.

If you could get this Antea off of ebay for $500 that would be a steal.
Good find.

It's hideous. Invicta is the king of the discounted watch. MSRP 9 billion but on sale today for $199

I've had mine for 7 years now, it's my everyday watch... As you can tell by all the scratches. They make a great watch for the price. You can find them all day long for around $300.00

I really like that Stowa watch on eBay posted above.

I don't have anything against the style of any of those seiko watches, but I wouldn't consider any of them "dressy".
