Silver slipper may be the worst casino I've been in. The one I went to in council bluffs Iowa was better

I like the beau over the hard rock but both are fairly cheesy to me.

Beau is the "nicest"
Hard rock has the best entertainment/club
IP is probably the most fun/laid back and to me, allows for the best chance to win

IP has best spa, restaurant (32), pool area, good bars

Beau has best rooms

Hard rock has good bars

Beau and hard rock are walking distance from each other. IP is about 3 miles from both

Beau Rivage and Hard Rock. If you don't like one, you can walk to the other. They are next door to each other.

We hit the Beau quite a few times throughout the year. The rooms are extremely out-dated now but the entertainment is better.

For food I highly recommend the hibachi at Jia. Ask for "Rum". Not the drink but the chef. He's young and he'll do sake shots with you. Ask him to throw some siracha in the rice. Ridiculously good food.

Other food options are the steak place which is good but expensive. There's a bar b que place that i've never had. The Coast is good for burgers/nachos. Then there's the buffet. It's decent.

As for entertainment there is the main bar/club "coast". Check who's playing. If it's a DJ then you know what to expect. If it's a band they're usually really good. If it's a band named the "Flamethrowers" they're from Lake Charles and the lead singer went to LSU. They rock.

There's also a small bar right when you walk in the casino to the right that usually has a big crowd and a jazz band playing. There's also a bar in the center of the gambling floor that typically has a one man act playing and singing.

For your gambling, if you want it to last on not a lot I recommend learning Pai Gow. It's not hard. It's so easy that if you just turn your hand over the dealer has to play your hand the way they would. Basically you push the majority of hands you play and you just get fed drinks the whole time. Did 6 hours in vegas, got trashed, 2 back massages, walked away down $10.

As for the hard rock, I've walked through a few times but nothing much was really going on. Did go to a Pat Green concert there once that was fun.

Has anyone tried the Golden Nugget yet?

yes. the gambling floor was pretty damn small, but the place was nice (all the slots looked brand new). They are still building several things and you had to walk across a cat walk type thing to get inside

Yes, those are good spots to meet up with your friends for pre-dinner drinks.

I also like the IP for their pool, sushi restaurant and the restaurant at the top.

Isn't the IP's pool on the 7th floor?
