They typically eat trash fish. Perch and chad. They'll even eat a carp.

Yeah, I suppose it would depend on where you’re at and how you’re trying to manage your land. Where I’ve spent most of my time hunting, coyotes are public enemy #1. I’d imagine places in Texas with thousands of acres of land may have a completely different set of management issues.
