Y'all remember when airline tickets had a quote price online, then when you went to pay for them, they added on a while bunch of fees and taxes? Rules were made that required them to post the actual full inclusive price right when you do a search.

This morning my wife (no pics) texts me and asks if I want to go to a Christmas show at the Beau on Monday afternoon, we can take the kids, and there is a four pack of tickets for $40. Sure, I tell her, I'll book when I get to the office.

Order the tickets and get to the purchase screen.

Tickets = $10 x 4 = $40
Service Fee = $5/15 x 4 = $20.60
Additional Taxes = $0.70 x 4 = $2.80
Order Processing Fee = $4.05

Total = $67.45.

$27.45 in fees for tickets that cost $40.00.

Next time, just show me the ticket costs as $67.45. I still would have bought them... but at least be honest about it.

I'd never bring my child to anything at a casino. Biloxi? Take them ice skating instead.

It's a family Christmas show. In the middle of the afternoon on the day after Christmas. I think we will be ok?

My wife is taking them ice skating next week at the convention center.

We did Disney on ice recently and the same thing. Tickets were like $300 for 6. Another $150 in fees

I tend to choose events now that don't use Ticketmaster.
One of the beer festivals here is $40 to get in and the TM fees add another $8 to that.
It's not at all that I can't afford it, it's just the principle of the matter

We don't do a lot of shows and when we do, she usually orders them and handles everything. I can't tell you the last time I used ticketmaster online.

We go down that way to eat Vietnamese, there's a great bakery and restaurant just past the Beau.

You live over this direction? Been to Cuz's in the Bay since they moved to Old Town?
