Once you tell the cops you have a gun I'm pretty sure after that point you listen to their instructions. What you dont do is reach for ANYTHING in your pocket. You let them come around and grab the gun while your hands are on your head. How does the cop know you have a permit? They have to treat it as you if don't.

You think Alton Sterling telling the police he had a permit would have changed that situation at all?

Cop will likely get off in this case because the victim (while he was grabbing for his license) was also carrying a concealed weapon which the cop thought he was pulling out on him. Not much could have prevented this sadly.

Then what the frick does a person who is legally carrying a concealed weapon have to do not to get killed by a fricking cop?

That's a bunch of fricked up ridiculous shite.

They shot a guy sitting in a car with his seat belt still on and a 4 year old in the back seat.

Not reach for his gun or put his hands out of view of an officer with a drawn weapon?

Who had a gun on him and was told not to reach for anything, yet he went in his pocket anyways, because ya know, frick cops I can do what I want bc I have a permit.

how does a cop know anytime someone is reaching for anything that they are not reaching for a gun?

this is ridiculous

because the cop doesn't know what he is doing he should just shoot to kill?

In this case, the cop knew he had a gun and told him not to reach for it.

The guy did anyway

She says he told the cop he had a CCR, which is what you are supposed to do. She says the cop then said to get ID, and when he reached, he got shot 4 times with his wseatbelt still on and a 4 year old in the back.

If true, cop should be fricked.

The guy expired in the car. I think this is a case where the cop was a little too on edge, or hypervigilant and reacted out of fear. The Baton Rouge cop apparently acted out of pure rage.

Everytime this happens cops everywhere become more of a target for criminals and angry black people. There will be retaliation.

He did. The cop instructed him to get his ID. When he listened and followed the instruction, he was protected and served with four bullets.

Fine and dandy if the cop decides to do that. But if he asks YOU to retrieve your ID, you either disobey (and get shot for "resisting") or reach for your ID (and get shot for "reaching").

Of course not. Those cops were going to shoot him no matter what he did.

The guy stated he had a gun, the cop told him not to reach for anything, he did anyway. This is not the same thing. And even if it was, cops will tell even an unarmed person to show their hands bc you have to approach the situation that everyone COULD be armed. It's not hard to understand.

must be some poorly arse trained cops out there all over the place right now. I've heard recruiting police had become difficult, but man I didn't realize they were scraping this far to the bottom of the barrel. Too many of these guys appear to have no training or clue out there. Of course the facts may prove otherwise, but the video of the MN incident sure makes it look like the cop was way out of control of himself.

Her narrative changes in the car. Says he was asked for ID and told the officer he had a gun. Officer told him not to move and he reached..( she pauses and said he reached his hands up) and that's when he was shot. I'd be willing to bet and hoping the officer has a camera that shows something different

This one is the flip side of the coin and yet no protests. So if a cop shoots and armed man doing illegal things, blacks want to riot. But if this idiot wants to kill a cop, it's just all thought of being in the line of duty.

Again, all this is from a one-sided account of the girl in the video. I'm sure there is other footage.

You think that having the aftermath video and nothing of the actual incident allows you to alter the actual story a little?

hint: the answer is yes.

You have seen video of the incident? Where? Can you post it?

Surely you're not referring to a narrated account of the aftermath by one of the involved parties, right?

You must have seen the full version of the video... because the one I saw didn't include footage of the cop asking him to reach for his ID.
