Tell ‘em you’re claiming squatters rights. Change locks on the doors, and forge a title. They’ll be tied up in court for years and you can squeeze a little more time out for a different market.

An added benefit to WBR is that you get to enjoy a bridge's eye view of the Mississippi river twice a day. Luckily, the traffic pace will allow for a nice leisurely time to enjoy the scene.

Someone out that way can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Eastbound in the morning and Westbound in the afternoons is that bad. Typically the bad traffic is the opposite.

building right now is the most expensive way to acquire a home. Construction loans have the highest rates of any loan program. Building cost are so high builders are not doing fixed price contracts. The market is correcting itself its just very slow to do this.

You’re correct. We live on the west side and hubby worked in BR for years with little traffic issues.

To OP: Wow, they are giving alot of time to move out! 1-3 months is normal, but 6 months. If you like the house and location then my vote is for buying from them. You should also "know the house" better than them. Have the owners been doing any upgrades or repairs through the years? New roof, ac, flooring? Get an appraisal, hell get a few. Lowball the shite out of it and see if they bite. Good Luck!

Not limited to BR. We sold our home in mobile last year for 130k more than we paid for it in 2017. That was pretty much the peak of the market though, rates have gone up significantly
