Last year New Orleans had 146 murders, which was a 47 year low. Half way through the year and on pace to come in significantly below 2018 numbers

While this is true, armed robberies and car theft/jackings have gone up exponentially.

BTR is actually on pace for a much lower murder total when compared to the last 30 years

This is what you get when fatherless boys are conditioned by culcha to look up to and emulate the alphas that they see regardless of their criminality. The more savage the better.

Car burglaries have been out of control throughout the city since schools have been let out.

It seems like the last couple weeks they have really dropped off. I know they hit about 10 people for the crimes a few weeks ago.

How much is that due to the wonderful medical facilities in the area that are better at triaging gunshot patients due to advances in medicine?

You’re right. Around jazz fest there were over a dozen cars burglarized in that Broadway, Audubon and Walnut area. High dollar area on the park with private security.

Car burglaries are out of control everywhere. Criminals have a lot less fear of cops regarding petty crimes these days.

If you are using murders as a metric what difference does it make?

This is actually due to classification of crime.

What looks better for crime? An armed robbery or gunshot wound? You can only pick one.

BRPD views car burglary calls as a nuisance.

I am trying to equate that the number of total shootings may have stayed consistent over the years while the number of deaths from shootings has gone down. Meaning that we have some terrible shooters or some top notch medical staffs.

It is the olde tried and true skew the numbers to make it sound better.
