Why press an illegal drug into another controlled substance? They couldn't press them to look like bayer or something?

edit: was thinking about it from a concealment strategy, not money

It's addictive. That's why they're pushing it. Drug dealers will sell cat piss if it keeps the customer coming back.

That's why you can only get hallucinogens from some random hippie and not a real drug dealer. They're not addictive.

This was my inital thought but a poster in this thread made a good point.

oxycodone on the street goes for up to 10x more than heroin. so you press H into "oxy" pills and sell them off as oxys for a high profit margin while not "technically" selling fake drugs.

Enormous waste of time and resources.

You might be right. But why no possession charge as well?

Isn't conspiracy to distribute going to be federal and alot worse and inclusive with possession? I'm no doper nor dealer but I have a friend facing conspiracy/distribution (made the paper last august) and it's a pretty frickin big federal deal.

Probably so. Good point on the federal aspect. I looked at the state law (attempt and conspiracy) and it seemed like a weak charge.

Haha. Why do you and me have 1 fricking mutual friend? You hate everyone from Woodlawn and Broadmoor.

Now, Like I mentioned to Artie, Operation Armageddon hit BR last April and see what two names stick out in the results. Now that's a LOT of dope. But still, someone close to that situation told me they are far more worried that the conspiracy to distribute charge carries more mandatory fed time than the poss with intent.
