Floor salesman is trying to sell me a floating floor pvc tile- saying installation will be a breeze... but if water gets down there, I will have to undo the snap together tiles to the the water underneath. Is there a better basement flooring than traditional tile? Tia

I laid some vinyl plank flooring in my house. It's waterproof after 21 days. I'd go with that.

The house I lived in in BR had a basement

Now my current house, we put a cork plank flooring in. In the event the basement takes on water, which it never has, you just remove the flooring, clean it and put it back in place
