That was my husband's sentiment as well. My dad was commenting on what it would be like to drive that on the freeways, how no one would dare get in your way.

First off, thanks Nurse. Once again the pics are badass.

Second, when did Bernie Sanders join TD? Who else would be down voteing all these pics Nurse posted? Some people just can't help being douchebags.

It's nothing to do with the pics...it's the people who just dv any post I make in general. Pay them no attention.

G'Morning Nurse and Thank You! If I were to have given you a short list of the cars I wanted you to take a pic of, all of them are here.
Those cars are indeed the Best of the Best!

$55K with no matching #'s, date codes or build sheets. We exchanged #'s so I may hear from him down the road. You can find better deals after Barrett-Jackson from owners whose cars don't meet the reserve yet they don't want to ship it back to where they brought it from and even better if you have cash.

Be careful. The SS in your photo is not a 1970, it's a 1969.

You are welcome Trav

There are sooooo many cars. No way I could have taken pics of every single one. I took pics of the ones I liked, the ones I know my husband likes, ones that just looked interesting in general...and looked at sold stickers for many of them. If they had a high sold price...I took a pic cause I knew something about it must be pretty special. My husband knew I was taking pics for the board so he also would point out certain ones and say "they will want a pic of this one".

Who would have ever thought back in the 60's & early 70's that some of these cars would be going for today's prices? So many of them were driven hard, beat on and then left to rot away. I wish I had a dollar for every time those owners of those cars said this past week, "I wish I still that old Chevy/Ford/Dodge!"
Glad the show turned out to be a great one. Already looking forward to the next one.

I remember this Bantam. Wasn't it the highest auctioned, $100,000+?

I missed much of the auction, did this Power Wagon go one the block yet?

That Hemi Cuda was nicer I thought than the one from a few years ago that went for 3.5 mil. I thought it would go much higher.

Not me, evidently. I bought a '68 Dodge Super Bee from Standard Motors in BR and sold it in '69 when I went
in the Air Force.

Not sure, totally forgot the price on the sold sticker.

Captain already answered this..but if you look in the pic you can see a sold sticker on it(although I do realize it's hard to see in the pic)

Is that what they are writing on the sold stickers, the price?

Yep. Although a few of them didn't have the price on it

Another reason it's fun to go yesterday. Most of the cars have been auctioned already and it's kinda cool to walk around and see what they sold for.

That silver one has 6 wheels and has the weirdest 6x6 setup I've ever seen. Each rear axle had its own driveshaft from the transfer case.

If I ever win the lottery...one thing on my list to do with my new money is

Buy a car at Barrett Jackson

I caught up with 480 at the auction and he walked around with us looking at cars. He mentioned talking with some older gentleman and they were next to the car he had just bought (iirc...some car that was close to 100k?...he can correct me). He asked the guy if he was a car collector and the guy's reply is "no I'm not a car collector, I only have 17"

So apparently 17 is not the amount that officially makes you a "car collector" fyi.
