I'm watching online while watching the LSU-OU game on TV and the online feed is much better. They show the cars and not the crowd and no split screens.
The TV cameraman has been annoying most of the time. He rarely shows the whole car and will zoom in on the hood emblem. At least they are doing far away shots today before zooming in to a couple feet away. He does seem to have a thing for the passenger side rear quarterpanel.

I could never understand why people buy cars just to polish them. Always seemed weird to me.
For investments.
People who say cars are horrible investments/do not appreciate do not know what they are doing or buying the wrong cars.
Every one car of ours was driven on occasion. We recently sold a documented survivor with original paint, interior, and even original spark plugs. The car was from 1958 and had 11,213 original miles and we turned a HELL of a profit in 6yrs.

I have an 82 Collectors Edition Corvette with the Crossfire engine...all original 62k. Now I'm starting to wonder what it would have brought this weekend.

I think every 53 corvette that was ever built has crossed the stage today.

More often than not for those not doing their homework.

When people say I'm going to invest in a new car, clearly a 2015 Honda Accord will not appreciate. A fully restored 55 corvette will.

Where are the chicks in the evening gowns on stage?

How much did those corvettes sell for

Please. Very few people can successfully use cars as a way to consistently make money.

If it were that easy to do everyone would do it.

Seems like cars are a terrible investment regardless. Like investing in airplanes or boats. Seems like you'd get better return on investment and significantly minimize risk and liability in a dozen other strategies.

Well that depends on what you purchase it for.
Not every classic appreciates at the same rate, you have to know the market or you can lose your arse.

Lots of people do it actually.
If you buy right and can sit on it for a couple years you have a better ROI than any IRA and can tangibly have fun with the investment.
