An EXTREMELY small piece of the population.

I am not saying it can't be done. Obviously it can. But ya'll are trying to make it sound like it is easy when it certainly is not.

Please. Very few people can successfully use cars as a way to consistently make money.

Your think all those bidders at BJ are buying for themselves with no concern for resale?

There are a lot, A LOT of DEALERS buying at BJ.

You yourself said this...

quote:

People who say cars are horrible investments/do not appreciate do not know what they are doing or buying the wrong cars.

And you are correct. The extreme majority of people out there don't have the knowledge to do it.

Dude. I am not trying to insult you or anything. For people with the knowledge, cars can be great investments. For the average Joe they are not.

I love cars, but I will never have the knowledge to try to use them as investments.

True, it's akin to stock.

Those who do well know the market, but it can and is done regularly.

It really is. My dream car since I was a kid. Knew a guy that had one with the V12. After hearing his stories about how much time it spent in the shop and how unreliable it was, it kinda tarnished my feelings towards it.

Just recently I'm starting to like those XKEs. That one that just crossed was one of the best I've ever seen.

I drove my buddy's XKE and you really had to remember how far the front end stuck out. It dipped down and there was another three feet out of sight.
Wonderfully handling car with a sound that was unique.

Hendrick just added another horse to his stable. 69, L88 Corvette.
Got extra money to spend now that Jeff Gordon retired!

I love these old Desoto's...it's crazy to me that they don't fetch more money at auction. Someone just got a steal IMO.

Like Studebakers, those Desoto's have a close group of followers. I would guess the majority are traded among themselves back and forth.
