The 348 Ferraris still look great but painfully slow with older Ferrari maintenance.

I don’t think they are in a bubble, it’s just the age of the money. Nostalgia drives this market and the “performance” cars in mid 70s and 80s were shite for the most part.

Yo. I had a first cousin who had a 'Cuda from back in the day probably 1970 or so. If that thing was loaded under the hood, what was the top speed?

Tia.

Hey LCA. There was such a wide range of engines, transmissions and gear ratios offered and options available, but safe to say 130-140 easy.
A friend of mine has a 340 cuda and that thing is pretty quick. Not that it could stay with a Hemi, but it is still respectable.

They seemed to have doubled in price for little reason, especially the short bed. I say they are in a bubble because their jump in price is not based on rarity, rather it's based on new popularity.

It's something different, everyone has a Gen I Camaro, Mustang, etc

They look and sound great...performance is on par with a Toyota Camry V6 however.

Those are maintenance nightmares which is much to do with the low resale.

Same with Jaguar F-Types. You can pick a nice one up for about 10% of MSRP if it has a major service due.

I'm gonna see if I can get his specs. I have a memory of the two of us going to take a buddy of his home at 1:30 in the morning and for whatever reason he pushed it out there. I think we hit 141mph on a straightway. Just trying to confirm if it was a childhood dream or not...ha.
