Maybe I’m out of touch but 400k is not a single person / starter house to me.

I’m a single millennial and I’m looking for something in 250k-300 range, in the burbs. Seems more feasible.

That, in and of itself, is just insane though. In no rational world are these houses worth what they cost these days. It's just a shitty situation. God bless the government, always fricking the little guy.
