Any news on schools besides LSU? I feel like I should have kept kiddos home, but maybe they're safer where they are.

It doesn't sound like anything touched down. It was really windy and the rain was really hard. Someone reported a 62 mph wind gust in this area. Everyone should be alright.

I wish the power wasn't out because I'm starving and want to re-heat some chicken I BBQ'd last night.

that is further up from me by a mile or two, but i think all is ok. friend works at oak grove and said the kids were hysterical (can't blame them) but everything seems to be ok. somehow i still have power. nanny texted and said my child was content hanging out in the bathtub with sing a long songs and graham crackers..of course.
although i still won't go outside bc the wind is doing some insane stuff. my back porch looks bad..and we have a wrought iron outdoor table and chairs (not covered) that was turned over. that's never once happened in almost 5 years. the table is extremely heavy.
