My brother in law has them regularly. He started doing the chicken in a restaurant on Christmas Eve a couple of years ago and really freaked out some of the kids in the place. It is a scary thing to witness for sure.

man, that would scare the shite out of me...worst part about it is, they often never find the cause (though it can be treated pretty well).

to make matters worse, he can't drive until he goes some period of time without having one....

I'm no expert but I don't think you can feel them coming on. There are meds you can take that raise your threshold however.

He is taking meds for prevention as of this evening. He will have an MRI and an EEG in the morning.
