When towing that thing out there, how do they keep something so (seemingly) top heavy upright? Seems like it would be pretty easy to go over on its side when in motion.

how long was the voyage? Was it 22 days or is that total trip time?

- 7 days to get to location (130 miles south of New Orleans) + another 3-4 days to prep for anchor + 5 days of ballasting to attach to tendons. Then I came home a few days after they finished that.

The bottom 40-50 feet are underwater in these pictures. It has a good bit submerged to keep it balanced. They also move very very slow.

Olympus! Going to the Shell Mars Basin.

100,000 barrels of oil per day going through that bad boy. Do the Math.

100,000*100 = 10,000,000 per day * 30-days = 300,000,000 per month.

Cost Shell about 1.2 billion so about 4 month payout (of course that is gross, Obama gets his piece).

TLP. The next project for Shell we're doing is a semi.

MC807B. You'll find it. It's right next to Mars A. Don't remember the lat/long off the top of my head. Give it a year to get some marine growth on it first. Had to wave off a few fishers already with the divers in the water.

What the hell I'll post this one. Looks like most of the other ones I have are the ones you already posted. I like this one because you can see the Chevron Hulls and HLD in the background.
