Agreed. Only way I'd do anything semi public would be at like a dinner with our families.

I just find it so funny that people on here think "oh yes when I'm 40, I'll be pulling in girls in their 20s." Half the time those girls just want your money. When I see those guys and meet them at bars, I'm like eww, fool you are so fricking old! Thanks for the drink though. Bye Felicia! - me at 25. Lol
I think it's funny that you're using examples of some schlubs who still put women on a pedestal as your prime examples of older guys. Most guys in the late 30s 40s range that I know of that are "pulling in girls in their 20s" aren't just buying random immature girls drinks in bars.
Also, even if they do just want the guys' money, the guys are getting something in exchange. That's why it's the sexual marketplace.

Maybe because almost all that's left is the people who didn't get married and have kids plus the new crop of college-aged guys.
This thread isn't scary to those of you without kids because you don't really give a damn about what happens to the world after you're gone. You don't even really care if things fall apart while you're still around because The Walking Dead seems like it might be kind of fun for a single guy.
This is why society has always "pressured" men to settle down. shite will fall apart as a critical mass of men stop caring about things outside of themselves. How could it not? In all of y'all's wisdom, how can you miss something so simple?

You think the decline in the marriage rate is attributable to men no longer caring about things outside of themselves?

There's nothing about that exchange but when you're 50 and alone bc your 20 something gf traded in for another dude that's 30... That's pretty comical. But this is the OT, so that 50 year is so cool!

No. I think men are making rational self interested decisions based on what they see in women and the court system.

Meh. A 50 year old that's been dating a 20 something would likely just go find another 20 something. Or a 30 something or 40 something who would likely be throwing themselves at the guy anyway.

Or maybe it's educated women that don't want to be tied down to some schmuck. It goes both ways.

Seeing this phenomenon now in my own life. Wife's BFF is 34 and freezing her eggs. Fiancé just bolted 3 months before wedding after 5 years dating. Girls an OT7 making 6 figures as well. Says she met few guys on the regular online sites but none want commitment.

In your ideal world I guess.. Things don't always happen like in the movies. There aren't a abundance of George clooney or brad Pitt type men in this world

Eh. Men have never hidden their tendencies. If women don't hold up their end of the bargain by not being vapid shallow and cheap, men aren't going to sacrifice their freedom to be with them. Why buy the cow, etc..

Yes, yes, that's got to be it. Don't be tied down with a family ladies. Go out and pursue that dream cubicle job.

I dont think these older men are expecting much more than just a young girl to have sex with, be a piece of arm candy, and hangout with(buy them shite).

no at that age they're still definitely chasing the one that got away...
