You can actually give a small dog panceatitis with that type diet and kill it rather quickly. Also things like onions and grapes are very toxic to dogs. If you are going to agree to babysit then at least do as they asked with the diet so you don't harm it before they return.

You do realize that there are many foods that humans eat that can make dogs really sick?
1. no, he's clueless.
2. on the bright side, he did confess, so maybe he can learn.

I babysat their previous dog that was diabetic and blind. Gave it insulin shots twice a day. And how have dogs lived for millions of years before now feeding off dead carcasses and God knows what else in the wild?

You're an a-hole. Congratulations.

Domesticated animals weren't around millions of years ago.
I really don't care if you harm the dog as it isn't mine. But you are such a tard

Not really. A lot of people are making their own mixes of dog food now from ingredients at home. If you trust corporations and sheeple marketing practices, more power to you I guess.

She will know you didn't stick to the diet. You will not be trusted ever again.

Babysat a friend's dog in an apartment years ago.
He dropped the dog off with a baby gate & instructions to block her off in the kitchen at night or when I left because she would chew stuff up (cushions, pillows, etc) otherwise if left alone.
No feeding instructions but she hadn't eaten anything after 2 days so I gave her scraps which she devoured, which led to me giving her more table food.
As some have already told you, what goes in must come out. When the levee broke, that dog had blew diarrhea all over the kitchen, either slipped and fell in it or rolled in it and smeared it all over the cabinets and oven plus had it all over herself, mostly dried in her fur. It looked like a small IED full of runny dog shite blew up in there.

Honestly, she looks much calmer since I've been taking care of her for 2 days. She was a nervous wreck when she got here - maybe just strange environment? Just checked on her and she looks great - calm, relaxed and she listens to me way better than her owners.
If some of you actually go visit the plants where store-bought dog food is processed I'd probably give your opinions more credibility. You really have no idea what's going into those dry dog foods.

Are you using water boarding?

Owners will probably be calling me within the hour to check up on her. I'll let them know what's up. LOL

Dogs' stomachs are way tougher than human stomachs.
When my Yorkie was a small puppy, he swallowed a mouse whole and lived to tell about. Dog will be fine, but he'll have the runs.
