Possums eat things you don’t want. They hang around a day or so and move on. They have a reputation for being mean but aren’t so much. We had a mom and 6 babies for a short time. Man, I hope you didn’t hurt them. They don’t do well relocated either. Can’t you guys live and let live?

Many opossums become orphaned after the mother is killed. Others become “orphaned” when they fall from her back or are somehow separated. These opossums must be raised by wildlife rehabilitators. However, many juvenile opossums brought to wildlife rehabilitators are not “true” orphans in need of care. They may be young juveniles on their own for the first time. While they may appear small and helpless, they are best left alone. Only opossums that are sick, injured, or too young to be on their own (less than 7 inches long from nose to rump, not including tail) are in need of immediate asssistance.

Not so harmless. Those frickers ate through the shingles on my house and deposited their babies.

I fixed the roof, but those fricking babies were in my walls.

Had to smell that shite for two weeks, then put up with the flies for another two.

Bastards!
