With an auto or DCT over the years I have moved to exclusively left foot braking. It is now being taught more for track work than in the past. It allows quicker transitions, you left foot becomes much smoother at braking since it only performs one function and allows for much easier trail braking. Pretty much every race driver (save the few manual tranny series left) left foot brakes, I think the last F1 driver to right foot brake was Reubens Barrichello but IIRC he changed over in the early 2000s.
Oh no I understand that LFB is the standard now on track. The post I was responding to made it seem like he left foot brakes all the time

Senna was the GOAT, the formula one version of Earnhardt, always took risks few others would take.

That was awesome.
Manual >>>>>>> auto
- You can shift with a broken clutch using the technique Senna is doing.
- you can brake in a pinch without using your brakes by downshifting.
- You can Fred Flintstone a car with a dead battery.
I have always driven sticks until my most recent car and I miss it.

While not actually using his heel, he's operating both the brake and the gas pedal simultaneously with his right foot while his left foot is solely used for the clutch.
That was impressive. It's a good thing I no longer have my manual Mustang.

seems so unnatural to brake with your right foot.
Still don’t know how to drive a stick huh...?
