Depends on industry. Being in med device sales, about 2-3 years

I worked for a wholly owned affiliate for a 1 year before moving into my first role. I did that for 6 years (so really 7 years at my first job).. At the start of covid, switched roles and did that for 4 years and just started a new role last month.
So about 5-6 average.
