As corrupt as US unions are, I can’t begin to imagine how bad it is in Mexico. The worker’s rights and working conditions are not near the top of the list.

No, because I'm not a dumbass. American unions did this to themselves. That's what happens when you pay someone pushing a broom $30 an hour. People build plants where labor is cheaper.

Nah, I can't imagine how long it would take to recoup the R&D and capital costs for that, when you're paying someone $3/hrs instead.

Pay attention to what you see on the streets of Cabo and Cancun on your way from the airport to your next "exotic" vacation. The employees would prefer working in that plant to collecting bottles, so they take those jobs. Or they can choose not to. Their choice.
