My favorite is once you out in your account number, phone number, social, DOB, select your eye color, reason you are calling, address, and so on and the person comes on with “let me confirm- what is your.... 14 different things you just entered” followed by “how can I help you today”

He's not going to lose his job. He's probably been instructed to disconnect those types of calls.

That doesn't include cursing them out. I instruct my employees to hang up on clients who yell or curse. Putting up with that is not part of the service. They can go elsewhere if they don't like it, but not a single one has. They stopped the behavior. You'll have to stop your poor behavior to get what you want, too.

Ill just keep calling in until I get what I want. I dont care frick those slobs they sit and answer calls all day and disrespect customers like me so they can get their rocks off.

I always try to speak to their managers

the customer is always right, dont like it, get a real job and dont work in customer service

The only person disrespecting in your fact scenario was you.

You are complaining about having to go through prompts rather than getting a live person and at the same time demeaning the live persons you wish to speak with.

I hated working in tech support and I hate having to rely on any sort of customer/tech support.

As annoying as automated prompts are (everything they say takes fricking forever), the alternative is certainly worse for both sides.
Without automated prompts there would be longer queue times, more time spent talking to people who will just have to transfer you, etc.

I'd rather be pressing buttons at prompts than wasting my time talking to someone who can't even help me and can't speak English.
