related to the auto start/stop battery
Is this the car battery or something else entirely?

you know how the newer cars' engine stops when the vehicle comes to a stop and when you release the brakes it restarts? it's the "re-start" battery, separate from the main battery, located in a wheel well, I think

My questionable color vision picks that up as a military flat green (optic nerve damage, not rods and cone issues).

It's the auxiliary battery. Ours is a 2020. I noticed that start/stop option quit working. Took it in and the battery was bad. It does take hours to change out. But if the battery is good, your start/stop feature will sometimes not work due to it's charging the battery. You can scroll down your menu and it will state that. I did find out that the more that I drive the Jeep, the less amount of times of non function. Hopefully this helps.

Just me, but there is no way I’d ever go with black seats. They soak up so much heat in the sun it’s unreal!!!

Agree entirely. Renegade had no chrome that was saved for the Laredo version.

My first ride was a '74 CJ5, 304 V8, 3-speed, with Dana 35 front end and Dana 44 rear end. Bought it in 1990. Had it 6 years, sold it like an idiot. Paint was a banana yellow almost. It looked good with those white steel wheels and raised white letter tires and black ragtop/doors. Classic. I'll see if I can dig up a picture.

Go with one of the original colors from 81 and get the renegade decals.

ETA I had a 76 CJ5 and sold it to someone who’s contact info I lost. Also had an 80 CJ5 and still know who has it.

Had the opportunity to buy an 83 CJ7 survivor in February and couldn’t put the cash together quick enough to get it. I remind my wife (no pics) weekly that we should’ve done more to buy that thing.
