Auctions should be required to disclose the reserve amount.

sometimes on ebay they do state a minimum starting bid

If the bidding is way above the reserve, people will be more reluctant to keep bidding because it's way above what they think is the value of the item...

i understand but its frustrating when there is an auction and the final price does not meet the reserve and nobody knows how far away it was from the reserve.
