Ok good. I thought that my company may have taken me off their plan.

Per the governor, att switching station on Choctaw taken out by water, assessing damage, and temp tower being brought in from out of state, but will take awhile

I find this hard to believe myself
But moved to Georgia last year and still have my 225 area code

Not working great at all
Thought it was a coincidence
Parents were here till this morning , found out their neighborhood is getting evacuated ,
And both of theirs weren't working either.

Waffle House has better disaster recovery than AT&T.

They fail during every emergency.

Wow, if that's where I think it is, I watched the system's first cellular tower go up right there in the early 80's. BellSouth Mobility, I think. We stopped by and got a tour: bunch of equipment in racks with lots of blinking lights is all I recall.

Yikes. That is going to suck if it is an entire loss.

Wonder how many cell sites are underwater. When I worked for AWS a decade or so ago we had to build all equipment 1ft above the 100year flood. Obviously that won't suffice in these situations. COWs will have to do, but they will be slow setting up.

SMH. I expected so much more from you.

Maybe it's time for a name change
